Tirana turned on the tree lights this December 5, welcoming the end of the year holidays. As has become a tradition for many years, “Skanderbeg” square is illuminated by hundreds of Christmas and New Year’s lights.

For a month, the square will have children’s games, wooden houses and a wonderful holiday atmosphere, where children and not only can have fun.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has announced the start of this year’s season through a post on Facebook.

“Besides the lights of the holidays, I wish that we also turn on the lights of the soul, and keep them lit. It is important that these holidays have endless love”, said the Mayor Erion Veliaj, while inviting all the citizens to help as much as they can the people in need, so they can celebrate all together.
