The former leaders of the KLA who are being tried in The Hague are facing other difficulties besides the trial.

It is known that after the departure of the main lawyer of the former president Hashim Thaçi, the former deputy of the VV, Rexhep Selimi, is facing the same situation.

According to a document published by the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo, Selimi will be without one of his main lawyers, David Young.

“On February 8, 2024, Selim’s lawyer sent a letter to the head of the Defense Office stating that he decided to terminate Mr. Young as an associate with immediate effect”, the document states, while the reasons for his departure have not been disclosed.
