The Ministers of Transport of North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia have begun a meeting in Brussels with representatives of the European Union to discuss the demands of truck drivers regarding their stay in the Schengen area.
The protest has been ongoing for three days, blocking border crossings between these countries for the passage of freight trucks. Businesses and transport operators are calling for the permitted length of stay to be extended from 90 to 180 days.
At the end of the meeting, it is expected that details will be announced on any agreement reached regarding the protesters’ demands.
