The police of Tropoja have found the dead bodies of a Belgian citizen and a French woman in Valbona.

After receiving the notification that the two tourists had fallen down the slope due to the steep terrain, the officers started the search and after a few hours the victims were found.

Due to the bad weather, even the helicopter could not land in the place where the tourists were found dead.

In order to enable the removal of dead bodies, the local and border police services, as well as the alpine squad, are cooperating with Civil Emergencies and the Ministry of Defense.

The investigative group of the Kukës Local Police Directorate is at the scene and under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, is working to clarify the circumstances of this event and to determine the cause of the loss of life of the two tourists, the police has informed.
