Interpol Tirana has carried out two extradition procedures this Monday, where a 32-year-old man from Berat accused of migrant trafficking was extradited from Greece to Albania, and with a security measure from GJKKO (Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime) with arrest in prison in absentia.
Also, Interpol Tirana has extradited to Turkey a 50-year-old Turkish man convicted by the Istanbul court for drug trafficking.

Tirana Following the cooperation with the counterparts, for the capture and extradition of the citizens announced as wanted internationally, the following were extradited:
– From Greece to Albania, citizen R. Gj., 32 years old, born in Berat. In 2024, the CJKKO assigned this citizen the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offense “Aiding for illegal border crossing”, committed in the form of a structured criminal group. This citizen is suspected of being a member of a criminal group that is accused, within the framework of the “NOMADA” mega-operation, of illegally transporting immigrants, mainly to Great Britain;
-From Albania to Turkey, Turkish citizen Mehmet Akman, 50 years old, announced as international wanted. The High Court of Istanbul has sentenced this citizen to 10 years of imprisonment for the criminal offense of “narcotics trafficking” as well as the High Court of Bakirkoy has sentenced him to 7 years and 2 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offense “Production and sale of narcotics”, provided by the Criminal Code of Turkey.
The citizen extradited to Albania was handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons.
