Registrations at universities this year will be in two rounds and not 3 as it was last year. The Minister of Education and Sports, Evis Kushi, has approved the guidelines for application and registration procedures in higher education institutions, in which several innovations are foreseen for the next academic year 2023-2024.

Registration will be done online for the first two rounds, and at the end of them, in study programs where free admission quotas remain, candidates who have applied to U-Albania can continue to register directly at the university until all quotas.

Another innovation is the application of equal registration procedures for all candidates with a foreign high school diploma, regardless of whether they are Albanian or foreign. Candidates registered with a foreign degree must have their degree recognized and recognized by April 30 of the following academic year, in order to be provided with a matriculation number before the start of the second exam season.

It is also determined in the instruction that the new academic year will start on October 2.
