Two Russians and Ukrainian accused of espionage, released by Court of Elbasan

The two Russian citizens Mikhail Zorin, Svetlana Timofeeva and the Ukrainian Fedir Alpatov, arrested last summer after breaking into Gramsh’s factory, have been released from prison.

Their release comes due to the end of the detention terms.

The court of Elbasan imposed the obligation to appear for the two Russian citizens and house arrest for the Ukrainian.

Mikhail Zorin, Svetlana Timofeeva and the Ukrainian, Fedir Alpatov, were photographing the premises at the Weapons Factory, when they tried to get inside, they were spotted by Albanian soldiers who signaled them to stop. They did not obey the orders, while one of them, Mikhail Zorin, attacked them with a chemical spray.

They were arrested by the police while being investigated as spies for the Russian secret service. In their bag were found devices which are used by espionage agents to photograph objects.

Photos of the Plant were also found in the microchips of these devices.
