Two Years After the Gjadër Camp Agreement, Protests Planned in Tirana and Lezhë

Albanian activists, along with more than 100 international activists, will organize a protest on Saturday, November 1, in Tirana and Lezhë, marking the second anniversary of the agreement between Albania and Italy for the construction of the migrant processing camp in Gjadër, Lezhë.

According to the protest agenda, participants will gather at Skanderbeg Square at 9:00 a.m.

After assembling, protesters will march toward the Prime Minister’s Office, the Italian Embassy, and the EU Delegation in Tirana.

Later in the day, activists will travel to the Gjadër camp, where the protest will continue.

On Sunday, November 2, demonstrations will resume at the Faculty of Law from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Protest Schedule

09:00–09:30: Gathering at Skanderbeg Square

10:00–11:30: March toward the Prime Minister’s Office, Italian Embassy, and EU Delegation

11:30: Arrival at Mother Teresa Square

11:30–13:00: Travel to the Gjadër Camp

14:15: Protest at the Gjadër Camp
