The Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama proposed on Tuesday a draft resolution for the deepening of reforms for good governance, the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
Regarding this initiative undertaken by the government, the first reaction has come from the embassy of the United States of America in Tirana.
In a response given to Euronews Albania, the press office of the embassy described the proposal as promising, supporting it.
The US Embassy emphasizes that it encourages the participation of all parties in this process and adds that it is looking forward to the first results.
“The proposal to advance Albania’s efforts related to good governance, rule of law, and anti-corruption is promising. As a long-standing partner in support of Albania, the United States welcomes efforts that build on the success of previous reforms while bringing together political groups, civil society, business and others to advance critical reforms that are necessary for Albania’s path towards membership in the EU and the Euro-Atlantic community. We encourage the participation of all Albanians who aim to improve the future of Albania and we look forward to seeing the results of a transparent and collaborative process”, the reaction says.
