UEFA condemns incidents in Albania-Poland match

Albanian Football Federation has been informed a few minutes ago of the decision of the UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee which has decided to fine the AFF with 44,000 euros for throwing fireworks on the field of play, throwing hard objects, blocking passageways in certain sectors of the stadium and the partial closure of the stadium in the northern and southern stands has reacted through a post on its official website.

Albanian Football Federation has called on the fans to be correct with their behavior in the stadium, not to use pyrotechnics which will punish the team.

“Albanian football is closer than ever to achieving an important objective such as qualifying for the European Championship “Germany 2024”. In these moments, the National team needs the support of the fans, and this support is required to be correct in order not to risk and damage this important objective that we have in front of us.

Albanian Football Federation has been informed a few minutes ago with the decision of the UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, which has decided to fine the AFF with 44 thousand euros for throwing fireworks on the field of play, throwing hard objects, blocking roads of the transition to certain sectors of the stadium and the partial closure of the stadium in the northern and southern stands.

Closing of these stands is on the condition that there are no fireworks in the stadium during home matches. The decision to close the stadium has been suspended for a trial period, starting with the next match against the Czech Republic.

Closing the stadium would be harmful to our National team at these moments where the target wants to have the 12th player around.

Albanian Football Federation wants to call on all the fans who unconditionally support the National Team to be correct with their behavior in the stadium, not to use pyrotechnics which will punish the team and the fans in the future matches which are decisive for the fate our towards “Germany 2024”, – it is said in the announcement of the AFF.
