Medical sciences and information technology are amongst the degrees with the highest demand in Albania, for the new 2021 – 2022 academic year.
“High school graduates have begun to focus on disciplines that offer a faster and better chance at employment immediately after graduating, be it nationally and internationally. There’s a rising tendency in regards to other engineering degrees, especially those focusing in sciences of innovation,” stated Arjan Xhelaj, director of the Albanian Academic Network.
On August 31st, all high school graduates will be able to log in to e-Albania and see how they ranked in relation to each university degree they applied in.
“On September 1st, students will have 24 hours to appeal their final ranking at the university they applied in,” added Xhelaj.
University applications in one of the fields of study will then begin on September 2nd.
This year, there have been around 22 000 university applications. It’s been reported that students are expected to begin their studies in auditoriums instead of online.
