Prime Minister Edi Rama said in a meeting with pensioners that the biggest robbery that is done to them is informal wages.

Rama said that the efforts to increase pensions will start with the fight against the informality of wages, which, as he said, is the biggest crime committed against pensioners.

We need solidarity to prevent tens of thousands of people from stealing your pensions every day as a matter of course, giving them money in the bank and in hand. The pension in the end comes out on the basis of the salary which is a bank, this is the big robbery. I will say to all businessmen, especially those who do construction; today there are no construction workers with 400 euros a month. Unreal wages are the biggest crime against any retiree. These must be fought and first of all be made aware that they are committing a very big sin. The issue of pensions has been a nail in my head since the beginning of the government. By the end of the year we will prepare for these words to take on meaning and in 2030 we will take Albania to the EU. We will give a very strong turn to the issue of pensions by using the force of the law so that anyone who earns money in Albania does not dare to touch the part of the pensioners”, said Rama.
