The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs has published a new set of anti-COVID regulations for everyone wishing to travel to Italy. Albania continues to remain on the D-list, according to the decree issued recently by Italy’s Ministry of Health.
In addition, starting from August 31st – October 25th 2021, every citizen travelling toward Italy should provide proof of the following:
- Green COVID certificate that proves the traveler’s full vaccination or a similar certificate issued by competent authorities in Albania that declares a complete vaccination, which entails having received both doses.
- The certificate can be on a digital format or a physical printout.
- Molecular PCR test or antigen test, conducted within the last 72 hours before departure.
- PLF form.
In case the abovementioned documents cannot be provided, a self-isolation period lasting 5 days will be mandatory upon arrival to Italy.
A motive for the travel, i.e. work or study, health-related reasons, absolute urgency, return home etc., will not be required.
Children under 6 years old are exempt from any molecular or antigen tests.
Italy recognizes the following EMA – approved vaccines: Pfizer Biotech, Moderna, AstraZeneca , Jonhson & Johnson.
