The Tax Administration has launched an investigation into luxury vehicles purchased by individuals with undeclared income.

Data shows that 400 vehicles were bought during 2023–2024 by individuals who have no declared salary or income in the tax registry.

The Tax Administration is advising these individuals to declare the source of the funds used to purchase the luxury cars in order to avoid fines.

Additionally, the Tax Office has signed an agreement with the Road Transport Directorate to enable real-time registration of whether vehicle taxes have been paid or not.

If the police discover that obligations have not been paid on time, the vehicle will be immediately seized, regardless of whether it is owned by an individual or a business entity.

In this context, the Tax Authorities are urging citizens to pay their taxes on time, as failure to do so will result in enforcement measures on the vehicles and the implementation of all compulsory collection procedures.
