Vetëvendosje is Kosovo’s richest party: financial report

The Central Election Commission in Kosovo published the unaudited financial reports of political parties for 2023.

Vetëvendosje (VV) earned €2,098,592 in revenue, while the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) earned €723,169, and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) had revenues of €808,983.

Vetëvendosje holds over €700,000 in banks and emerged as the wealthiest Albanian entity in Kosovo, with over €2,000,000 in revenue in 2023. At year-end, Vetëvendosje had a surplus of over €700,000.

The Prime Minister’s party recorded revenues of €1,990,255 from the state budget, with an additional €30,000 from donations and contributions.

Out of its €2,052,868 revenues, Vetëvendosje spent around €742,000, mainly on salaries and advertisements. They allocated €180,000 solely for advertisements and conferences, with €20,000 for a vehicle purchase. Vetëvendosje had €1,322,778 in their bank account in January.

The second most enriched party, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, had assets worth €27,053.46. Its annual revenues were €808,983 in 2023.

PDK reported €25,926.16 in long-term obligations and €327,087.32 in short-term obligations. From the state budget, PDK earned €657,168 and €400 from donations and contributions.

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) reported long-term assets of €38,427.99 and revenues of €723,169.92 in 2023.

LDK had €54,735.73 in long-term obligations and €256,217.30 in short-term obligations. They earned €525,000 from the state budget and €39,483 from donations and contributions.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) closed 2023 with long-term assets over €6,000. AAK reported €31,685.81 in short-term assets, €6,074.17 in long-term obligations, and €297,672.74 in short-term obligations.
