The Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris called the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani to express the country’s gratitude for accepting to shelter Afghan evacuees.
Harris, on behalf of the Biden administration, thanked Kosovo for supporting this mission and emphasized that the US is deeply grateful toward Kosovo for its close cooperation and its willingness to welcome thousands of citizens fleeing the Taliban.
On her part, Kosovo’s President also expressed her country’s “eternal gratitude” for the continuous support and reiterated that the US will remain Kosovo’s main ally.
