The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, declared that there will never be Serbian policemen and soldiers in the country.
Through a post on social media, Osmani said that the open threat of police and military aggression from Serbia proves that the hegemonic mentality continues in that country
“The open threat of police and military aggression by Serbia proves that the hegemonic mentality continues in that country. This must be rejected and clearly opposed by the entire democratic world, which gave the strongest blow to this mindset in 1999. Last night’s wounding of a member of the Kosovo Police is a criminal act directed against the constitutional order and sovereignty of Kosovo as well as against actions for the rule of law.
Also, attacks on journalists constitute a flagrant violation of the right to free information. The perpetrators of these crimes must be brought to justice as a matter of urgency, while the justice institutions must act immediately. In the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, there will never be policemen and soldiers from Serbia! Serbia’s hegemonic dream will never come true!” Osmani wrote on Facebook.
