Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic declared before his meeting with Kosovo’s PM Albin Kurti in Brussels that giving up is not an option.
He also added that it’s never nice to travel to and stay in Brussels, when you’re having to discuss with Albanian representatives, but according to him, everything is being done for the sake of keeping peace and stability in the region.
“It is never nice to travel to and stay in Brussels, when you are discussing with Albanian representatives. However, it is important for Serbia because by acting this way, we are helping our people, by keeping peace and stability, which are of fundamental importance for the economic development of all of Serbia. On the plane, as always, since back in my university days, I revise the material and get ready for difficult meetings. Giving up is not an option,” wrote Vucic on his social media account.
Earlier, the director of the Office for Kosovo at the government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic announced that in today’s meeting, the Serbian side will insist on the formation of an association of Serbian-majority communes.
Petkovic, who will be in Brussels as a member of Belgrade’s delegation, said that they will insist on other important matters as well, including the issue of the missing persons.
On the other hand, the Kosovar side claims that several deals signed between both countries, aren’t being fully respected by Serbia.
