The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met in Belgrade the EU’s special representative for the dialogue between Belgrade and Prishtina and other regional issues of the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak.

According to the protocol, 30 minutes later, they were joined by the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Gabriel Escobar, writes N1.

After the meeting, no statements to the press are expected.

Earlier today on Instagram, Vucic asked the international community and Western partners “which of the six important documents” they want Serbia to respect and listed the first five, – the Kumanovo Agreement, the UN Charter, Resolution 1244, the Agreement of Brussels and the Washington Agreement, and the Thessaloniki document on EU enlargement in the Western Balkans.

Today in Belgrade, Escobar will also meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic.

EU and US officials arrived in Belgrade after meetings in Prishtina, at a time when tensions have increased in northern Kosovo, as Serbs have set up barricades following the recent arrest of former Serbian officer Dejan Pantic.
