The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that in the session held this Tuesday of the Government of Serbia, was discussed about Kosovo and the tasks in the field of foreign policy were divided.
“We have decided to respect the countries that are friendly towards Serbia. Let’s take care of the bilateral policy and not cross the limits of reciprocity. If someone does not respect our territorial integrity, why should we respect theirs”, said Vučić, Radio Free Europe’s Balkan Service broadcasts.
Speaking at a media conference in Belgrade, he said that Serbia is grateful to the countries that voted on Monday against Kosovo’s admission to the Council of Europe.
“We are especially grateful to Hungary. They have proven that they are Serbia’s greatest friends,” said Vučić.
He also added that Belgrade knew that Kosovo has the majority of support in the Council of Europe.
“Thank you to Spain, Cyprus, Romania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, who have voted to support the United Nations Charter”, said Vučić, referring to the countries that voted against the decision to send Kosovo’s application for membership in the Council of Europe to his Parliamentary Assembly.
