Vučić: Serbia will be firm and unwavering in protecting its people

The National Security Council of Serbia assembled this Saturday morning in Belgrade to discuss the situation created in the north of Kosovo, where suspected criminal actors obstructed the new elected mayors of the municipalities enter their offices.

President Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić, Director of the Security Information Agency Aleksandar Vulin, as well as other representatives of the government and all security institutions in Serbia were present in the meeting.

“Due to the brutal use of force by Albin Kurti and his police against the Serbian population in Kosovo, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia remain at the highest level of combat readiness for the time being,” announced the Presidency of Serbia after the session.

During the meeting, all necessary security activities were agreed upon in order to strengthen the defense capacities of Serbia, as it was emphasized that KFOR/NATO did not perform its work accordingly with Resolution 1244 of the United Nations Security Council.

After the session, President Vučić declared that the country will be firm and unwavering in the protection of its people in Kosovo.
