President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, commented from China on the statement of the President of France in Tirana, Emmanuel Macron, who left open the possibility of suspending the liberalization of visas for Kosovo, if Pristina does not fulfill its obligations for the association of Serbian municipalities.

“I don’t want to make a comment. It is the decision of one of the largest European countries. Thanks to Macron for many other things, for the friendship he shows towards Serbia. Regarding the remark he made that we must condemn the violence in Banjska, we did so on the same day several times. I think I told this to President Macron even when we were at the meeting in Granada”, said Vučić.

Asked by journalists, Vučić also spoke about the progress of the dialogue, for which he said that the Serbian state will not sign any declaration of peace with Kosovo.

“Kurti says ‘I’ve brought you a peace declaration to sign’ and you think at that moment he’s brought something nice for you to sign because he uses the word ‘peace’. He simply forgets to tell everyone that only sovereign and independent states can sign peace agreements. So if it is signed, we have recognized independent Kosovo. Fortunately, we have to take care of this and the experts help us in the work we do to prevent these stunts from happening”, he said.

Vučić’s statements were made during his visit to China, where he also met with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, with whom he said he had a quick discussion.
