The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has expressed thanks and gratitude to his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. Through a post on social networks, Vucic said that Xi Jinping is committed to the observance of Resolution 1244.

He also expressed his belief that the love the two peoples have for freedom and peace strengthens the traditional friendship even more.

“President Xi often mentions a Chinese proverb: Let’s replace the weapons of war with the gifts of jade and silk,” the Serbian president emphasized.

“Like the People’s Republic of China, Serbia stands for the strict observance of the basic principles of international law. The People’s Republic of China, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, has always been committed to maintaining peace and has provided diplomatic support for Serbia’s territorial integrity and our efforts to protect the international legal order,” he added Vucic.
