The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said at a meeting of his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Pancevo, this Friday, near Belgrade, that he expects Serbia to hand over Kosovo “on a plate”.
“Do whatever you want, outside and inside, here in the country, I will not allow Serbia to be destroyed, and there will be no independent Kosovo”, said Vucic.
His party’s march in Pančevo is being held at the same time as the “Serbia against violence” protest, which is being held in Belgrade.
The reason for organizing the protest in Belgrade is the disappointment of the reaction from the authorities, after two mass murders that took place in Serbia in May, in which 18 people were killed.
Vucic has said that he will not allow the government to be changed by force, under the influence of others, nor will he implement policies against the interests of Serbia.
He said that he will never “serve” foreigners.
“They will not lead Serbia’s foreign policy. They will not decide for me who to sanction, the people will decide, they will not decide for me whether Serbia will join NATO, the people will decide”, said Vucic.
He has invited the citizens to go to Belgrade, for a march planned by his party in the following days.
“Everyone in Belgrade. We will go to Belgrade from each city, if necessary, even by foot,” he said.
“No retreat, no surrender, we will protect our country”, he added.
