A 48-year-old wanted by the Italian authorities for threats and exploitation for prostitution has been arrested by the police of Berat for the purpose of extradition.

Following the investigative and operational work, in order to locate and capture the citizens announced as wanted internationally, the services of the Berat Local Police Directorate have provided information from the police intelligence about the location of a citizen wanted on behalf of Italy.

Based on this information, as well as following the intensive cooperation for their exchange, between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, it became possible to locate and capture the citizen A. A., 48 years old, resident of Skrapar.

The 48-year-old was internationally wanted, after the Court of Como, Italy, has assigned the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offenses “Intimidation” and “Exploitation for prostitution”, provided by the Italian Criminal Code.
