With the warmth of the end-of-year holidays, comes the family obligation to set the festive table. However, this magic seems to be taken away by the high prices of products in the market. Those who suffer more are undoubtedly the third age group, which says that their table will have less.

A citizen has shared his opinion that apart from prices, pensions are also a concern.

“We cannot afford it, too bad, prices have increased several times, while pensions are a shame to talk about”, he said.

Another citizen says that the prices are being abused and it is something that happens every year.

“I haven’t bought anything, I came today to buy. Year after year is the same conversation about high prices is not just this year.”

Another gentleman said that he can’t even buy basic things.

“I bought almonds with great difficulty because they cost 14,000 ALL. Traders in this period abuse a lot”, said the citizen.

Some of them even think that holidays are usually used for price manipulation. Turkey looks like it won’t be on every table this year, as its price is salty.

“Very expensive, we can’t afford it with the salary we receive. For children’s sake, even with debt. We are taking money from neighbors and friends, because I don’t have people from abroad”, says a citizen.

“According to the income that we have, the prices are very high, not today but also every day and for holidays they raise them a lot. On every holiday, the whole world gives discounts, donates, only in Albania the prices go to the sky”, said a lady.

Faced with these increased prices, in some cases by large or small merchants, stands the consumer who is fed up and can no longer buy as before.
