The Foreign Minister of Greece, Georgios Gerapetritis, has commented for the Greek media on the visit of the head of the Albanian government, Edi Rama, on May 12 in Athens. In an interview for SKY radio, the head of Greek diplomacy stated that the visit of the Albanian Prime Minister will not be hindered by the Foreign Ministry and that authorities will guarantee the safety of the representatives of the Albanian state.
The head of Greek diplomacy said that between the two countries, the imprisonment of Fredi Beleri remains pending, which is already a European issue.
On the other hand, the Greek minister, like Prime Minister Kirjako Mitsotakis, described the visit of Prime Minister Rama as premature. On Wednesday, the Greek Prime Minister declared that he did not expect Edi Rama, nor did he stop his visit to Athens.
