The Kosovo police have announced that they have discovered some weapons in the north of the country. Through an announcement on Facebook, the police announces an extraordinary press conference where details about the operation will be given.

“Today, on 14.06.2024, at 7:30 p.m., an extraordinary press conference will be held at the premises of the Regional Police Directorate-Mitrovica North.

In this conference, details will be presented about a police operation to find and confiscate a quantity of weapons, which will be exposed to the media,” the Kosovo police announced in a statement.

From the presented weaponry that was found in the north, there are long guns of different calibers, pistols, hand grenades, etc.

The deputy director of the Kosovo Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, said that within the framework of operational activities in cooperation with the KIA, they managed to identify several locations where hidden weapons were located, by former members of the Civil Defense and members of the group terrorist of Banjska.

The first location is in the north of Mitrovica, near Tre Rrokaqiejve, it is connected with the wanted person, Marjan Radojević, while the other location is on “Çeta e Minatorëve” street, in the north of Mitrovica, which is connected with the wanted subject Zharko Cvetkovic.
