Weapons base discovered by Vlora’s Police

The police of Vlora have discovered an arms base in the village of Babicë. A person from this village was arrested, who is suspected of having links with criminal groups.

Vlora police director Ermal Muçaj said in a statement to the media that weapons of various calibers, among which a sniper, ammunition, camouflage clothing, were seized.

Also, Ermal Muçaj informed that the criminal group had radios connected to the waves and frequencies of the police.

Remote-controlled mines were also found inside the base, as well as significant amounts of money.

As part of the operation were seized:

  • A 7.62-mm sniper rifle mounted in combat mode with a silencer
  • Components of combat weapons for the formation of 2 (two) other firearms, sniper rifles
  • A Zastava pistol firearm, 10-mm caliber, and two combs with cartridges of the same caliber
  • A Bronx-colored Pen Pistol weapon and a quantity of 40 rounds of 5.6-mm caliber
  • A holstered 12mm caliber gun, made in Russia
  • Two plastic boxes with auxiliary material for the maintenance of sniper weapons
  • Mine fitted with a mobile phone and plastic explosives as well as seven pieces of plastic explosives with capacities of 200 and 400 grams
  • Four silencers with black metal body for long guns
  • A thermal Binoculars in military color with the inscription NUC FOR BEST IMAGE, with a length of 41-cm with night visibility
  • Four optical binoculars like those placed on firearms for aiming at distance
  • Two pairs of observation binoculars
  • Complementary accessories for optical sights of firearms
  • A black plastic box containing 200 pieces of 9-mm cartridges
  • A large amount of 7.65-mm caliber cartridges and 45 rounds of 7.62-caliber, model 56 automatic rifle cartridges and a large amount of cartridges of the same caliber
  • A large quantity of 12mm caliber cartridges
  • Several thousand war cartridges of different calibers, hand grenade launchers
  • Some mobile phones that will be subject to expertise
  • A transceiver radio, with the inscription BOATHENG, with its charger at the DVP Vlore
  • An antenna device labeled DETECTOR K18 RFGS
  • HP brand computer central unit, and DVR
  • A large number of license plates and various vehicle keys
  • Some black masks and silicone masks with the image of a human head
  • Some police uniforms and other clothing.
