“We’ll protect families and small enterprises from hike in prices”, deputy premier vows new package

Prime Minister Edi Rama is set to present a new relief package for households and small enterprises in order to protect them from the energy crisis which will as he warned, will most likely affect Albania, too.

It was deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj to announce the development, adding that an interinstitutional group tasked to monitor the situation on a daily basis has already been established.

“Within this week, the head of the government will unveil a package with the measures for the protection of the citizens and small enterprises”, said Ahmetaj.

The second in rank in the Albanian government said that it is “inevitable” for Albania to escape the global crisis, but emphasized that the infrastructure ministry is working to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply and access in the international market in order to purchase more energy.
