Journalist Kosove Gjoci has given a detailed account of the situation in the north of Kosovo, which has been tense for some time but tensions have escalated further in the last several days.

In addition, he said that currently the situation there is calm and there is no movement while adding that according to the information they have on Tuesday of this week there were explosions with hand grenades.

According to the journalist, the Kosovo Police failed to protect the officials of the CEC and it seems that it has no possibility to maintain control there.

“Part of the responsibility falls more on EULEX and KFOR.” – emphasized Gjoci.

The Euronews Albania journalist also underlined that currently the north of Kosovo is being managed by the Serbs and stability is at risk while adding that the goal is to prevent the upcoming local elections.

“The possibility for holding these elections is quite small” – concluded the journalist.
