The Lake of Shkodra welcomed dozens of photographers from all sides of Europe who got to see the vast diversity of the wildlife offered by this area through the lenses of their cameras.
Equipped with modern cameras and a great love for nature, the photographers sailed through the lake where they got to see the many species that called the lake their home.
Nenad Mihajlovic traveled 12 hours by bus from Serbia just to join the tour.
“It’s really beautiful here and the nature is very nice. I am very glad to see the lake and all the birds here, but I mostly prefer the pelican”, he said.
Andrey Mihajlov is visiting Shkodra for the first time and was delighted by what he saw through his camera’s lens, except for litter.
“It is my first time here. The environment is beautiful but it needs to be more taken care of. There is litter that shouldn’t even be here in the first place. I am hoping to see some pelicans. I’ve been using the camera for 3 years and I’m relatively new compared to the rest of the group”, said Mihajlov. One of the tour’s organizers, Jetmir Troshani, said that one of the benefits of this event is that it brings people close, and emphasized that acquainting the young generation with these creatures is imperative.
According to Ilir Hebovija, a photographer and organizer of the tour, the pictures serve to bring back the affection that people had for the lake as well as help to protect it.
