For several weeks, the citizens of North Macedonia have been afraid of bomb alarms, which are occasionally reported from schools, shopping centers, but also from official institutions.

The Ministry of the Interior states that in all cases, the alarms were false, but they spread panic among the public. Citizens say they have lost faith that the institutions will catch the perpetrators. The opposition party VMRO-DPMNE demands the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs.

The correspondent of Euronews Albania, Ferikan Iljazi, says that the citizens have taken the bomb alarm as something everyday and evacuations have now become common.

“In the beginning, there was fear among the students, the evacuation was taken a little more seriously, perhaps or something similar, but the mobilization of the police was more precise, while now, despite the fact that it is mandatory to respect the evacuation protocol, the citizens are more relaxed,” – said Iljazi.
