Democratic Party MP Andia Ulliri said that the project for the Port of Durres lacks transparency.

Invited to the show “Rinon” on Euronews Albania, she said that although they support development projects, they oppose the fact that these projects can hide other things.

“This project lacks transparency; was Rama able to show that this is a serious project, this is a serious investor? We do not want to oppose serious projects at all. We support development projects but we oppose the fact that these projects can hide other things. From the beginning, DP has had this approach that by witnessing an accelerated procedure, we then have the right to request more information,” she said.

Among other things, she said that the Municipality of Durres is supporting this project without having the paperwork and documentation to present to regular citizens and tell them that this port is a perfectly safe investment.
