The Ministry of Defense has reported that 9 fire outbreaks were recorded in the past 24 hours across five municipalities: Tirana, Durrës, Kavaja, Lezhë, and Berat. According to the Ministry, all fires were successfully extinguished without causing harm to people, homes, or livestock.
In six cases, the fires affected areas with shrubs and grass, burning approximately 0.5 hectares of land.
In two cases, fires broke out in residential areas: one in neighborhood no. 5 of Kavaja Municipality and one in the village of Ishull Shëngjin, resulting in material damage. In the Ishull Shëngjin incident, a gas leak led to injuries to a woman, who was immediately transported to the Trauma Hospital.
In another case, a private vehicle caught fire, causing only material damage.
For the firefighting operations, the Ministry of Defense reported that 9 operational units and 64 fire engines were deployed.
“According to forecasts by the Institute of Geosciences, no rainfall is expected today.
Regarding fire risk, a ‘HIGH’ risk level is forecast for the regions of Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, and Fier, while a ‘MODERATE’ risk level is expected in other regions,” the Ministry’s announcement states.
