Lawyer Naim Hasani has stated that the statements made yesterday by the British minister regarding the Albanians are for electoral purposes.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that the return of illegal immigrants to Britain has always existed, while emphasizing that there was nothing extraordinary in the minister’s statement.

“There have been statements for electoral purposes to slightly change the side of the polls. The Minister of Immigration has had clashes with immigrants every time, but not in such a situation. Britain has provided protection for years to all those in need of international protection. If you are in Britain illegally you can return if your right to stay in Britain has ended. The law has existed before. There is nothing extraordinary in the minister’s statement, but the emphasis is definitely on the Albanians at this point,” he said.
