The Central Bank of Kosovo has made an important announcement regarding its collaboration with the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on projects aimed at bolstering the nation’s financial and economic sectors.
This announcement followed a meeting between Ahmet Ismaili, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, and representatives from both the World Bank and the IMF.
Massimiliano Paolucci, from the World Bank, emphasized the institution’s commitment to maintaining a robust partnership with the Central Bank of Kosovo. Their joint efforts primarily focus on advancing Kosovo’s financial sector and overall economic development. The details of this collaboration and the technical support discussed during the meeting are expected to be finalized during the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank scheduled for October this year. The Central Bank of Kosovo will be represented at these meetings.
Furthermore, Sebastian Sosa, the new head of the IMF’s Regional Office for the Western Balkans, has assured Kosovo of the IMF’s ongoing support. Sosa pledged continued assistance for the successful execution of the planned projects.
