The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, announced that the year-end bonus for pensioners will be 100,000 or 150,000 old lekë, depending on each individual’s pension.

Malaj emphasized that pensioners receiving over 200,000 lekë in monthly pension will get a 100,000 lekë bonus, while those with pensions below 200,000 lekë will receive 150,000 lekë as a bonus.

“The total amount of funds allocated for the pensioners’ bonus reaches 9.7 billion lekë, covering around 750,000 pensioners nationwide,” Malaj declared during his presentation to the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs regarding amendments to the budget.

During his report to the same committee, Malaj also stated that by the end of the government’s mandate, the minimum pension will reach 200 euros, while the average pension will be 400 euros.
