Journalist Gerta Zaimi says that the statement of the British Minister for Migration, Robert Jenrick, about Albanians, will not affect the relations between the two countries.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Zaimi said that there are 10,000 foreign prisoners in England’s prisons, of which 1.300 are Albanians.
According to her, this shows that crime in England is not only Albanian.
“It must be understood from the technical side of criminality, related to traffic. Currently, in English prisons, I’m talking about England and Wales, there are 81,000 prisoners, of which 10,000 are foreigners and of these 1,300 are Albanians. Looking at this figure, you understand clearly that it is not Albanian crime that causes the English problem”, she emphasized.
