Ambassador Shkurov said that besides sanctions, Ukraine also needs an immediate supply of weapons.

“To tell you the truth we sent a request to the Albanian government to help us with gas and fuel”, he said.

Albania joined other countries to condemn the attack on Ukraine.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared earlier during the day that the country severed diplomatic ties with Russia.

Citizens in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv woke up with loud sirens warning them that a military operation was underway.
