Although various ballot counting centers have not officially started tallying for a reason or another, the Municipality of Pustec has already wrapped up the entire process.
In almost two hours, the seven ballot boxes of Albania’s tiniest municipality, located in the District of Korça and with a dominant ethnic Macedonian majority, have already been counted, and results published at the official CEC webpage.
According to official figures, the Socialist Party received 868 votes, while 473 went to the Democrats, and 168 to the Socialist Movement for Integration.
According to Euronews Albania’s local correspondent Xhensil Shkëmbi there were a total of 73 invalid votes recorded.
Accordingly, Pustec is the first municipality to announce the results of the 2021 general polls.
