“No, it is not true at all. It is entirely a fabrication serving to personal interests”, declared the leader of the Democratic Party in response to the elections of the new head of DP’s Youth Forum (FRPD), shortly after Belind Kellici, its incumbent leader, decided to join Sali Berisha’s nationwide tour.

“For the first time under my rule, the Democratic Party’s Youth Forum held elections, actually using the principle one member one vote. Unfortunately, it’s been two years that the mandate has expired and in compliance with democratic norms, once again through the principle one member one vote, young Democrats will choose who will represent them, including their new head”, declared Basha to reporters gathered outside the party’s headquarters.

On Friday, Kellici opposed Basha’s decision on electing a new FRPD head, telling reporters that the decision is “null” and “a breach to the party’s statute”.

To conduct the process, the DP tasked Oriela Nebiaj, Hergert Alimerko, Dario Sejdini, Enkelejda Rica, Juela Hamati and Anita Doçi.

They will monitor the organization of the membership process, refresh new data and overview the elections on all levels.

After the process concludes, elections are to be held to choose the new head of FRPD on both central and local levels.
