On tonight’s Shock hosted by Bruna Çifligu, analysts Baton Haxhiu and Andi Bushati discussed the massive leak detailing the salaries of more than half a million people in Albania.

Haxhiu was concerned that something so private can all of a sudden come out in public and that people are looking at whom to point their finger at.

“Some crazy guy is behind this, someone that didn’t even know about the repercussions that this could bring. I am not even going to talk about the state which is a complete failure in this case. If you’re not ready to go digital if you can’t protect the secrecy of the data, then don’t do it at all”, said Haxhiu.

According to him, the entire scandal is “traumatic”, adding that he cannot find a way how to define this utter state of irresponsibility.

“Someone is looking for a social revolution here”, said Haxhiu.

On Wednesday, the salaries of more than 600,000 people surfaced on several online media.

The Prosecution of Tirana has now launched an investigation into the serious matter, initially heading to the Taxation Directorate.
