Three inmates of Albanian origin escaped from the prison of Treviso in Italy this morning.

According to Corriere della Sera, they cut the bars on the windows of their cell with a hacksaw around 5 AM and then used bedsheets tied as a rope to lower themselves to the front yard.

Two of the fugitives were caught by the police shortly after, while Edison Pula is still on the run.

The 27-year-old is a member of a notorious Albanian gang and was convicted for attempted murder, robbery, possession of explosive material, and other offenses related to drug trafficking.

He was arrested in February at a shopping mall in Silea, a commune in the Province of Treviso around 25 kilometers north of Venice.
