After being verified by the Vetting process, prosecutors Alfred Shehu, Elvin Gokaj and Sonila Muhametaj have now applied to become part of the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).

At the moment, this structure has a team of 15 prosecutors, whereas the head of SPAK, Arben Kraja has asked to add at least 5 other members, in order to be able to handle the current amount of casefiles being referred to this Prosecution.

The appointment of these new judicial bodies will be conducted through a commission from the High Prosecutorial Council, which were the ones to initially announce an open call for 2 vacancies.

The deadline for all submissions was today.

Meanwhile, this Special Structure is expected to take in another 2 prosecutors by the end of the year.
