Five suspects were arrested in Serbia in connection with a 300 kilograms load of cannabis claimed to have made its way from Albania.
Interior minister Aleksandar Vulin said that law enforcement authorities successfully disbanded a network smuggling cannabis from Albania to Serbia.
He confirmed that the 300 kilograms were seized in the village of Ternovc, near the Presevo Valley.
Vulin praised the police, adding that citizens “must abide by the law in every corner of Serbia”.
He added that Serbia “never was and never will be a market for the sale cannabis, or other drugs”.
The suspects were arrested as they were offloading the cannabis. Police seized 87 packages ready to hit the market.
