Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha accused PM Edi Rama of capturing the High Court through his connections with the head of this institution, Sokol Sadushi.
In a press communication from DP’s headquarters, Berisha said that the Council of Ministers has decided to nullify all recourses presented to the High Court for all cases of a civil or administrative nature.
According to Berisha, with the return of 3800 recourses from the High Court, Rama is looking to embezzle assets and private property owned by Albanian citizens and ultimately exercise complete control over the judiciary.
“Edi Rama is embezzling private properties belonging to Albanian citizens, through a court order as well as his own soldiers in the public administration. With a complete lack of transparency, no detailed analysis of these cases, as well as colossal collateral damage that will only fall upon Albanian taxpayers and the state budget, and lastly in complete violation of the Constitution, the Council of Ministers decided to nullify all recourses presented to the High Court for cases of a civil or administrative nature,” – said Berisha.
Yesterday, justice minister Ulsi Manja signed a document that ordered the nullification of 3800 cases that had been referred to the High Court as recourses. In addition, 1000 others were compiled in a list and are waiting to be nullified as well.
