Albanians are generally of one mind when it comes to corruption because a whopping majority of the population believe their government is corrupt, including those that voted for the ruling party.
In a Barometer poll conducted by Euronews Albania, 82.5% of Socialists responded by saying that they either believe their government is ‘very corrupt’ or ‘totally corrupt’.
Only 15.7% of socialists shared the thought that their government is only ‘slightly corrupt’.
When Democrats were asked about what they think of their government in terms of corruption, 98% of them responded by saying that corruption is dominant.
On the other hand, 94.4% of the undecided voters, said that they believe their government is either ‘very corrupt’ or ‘entirely corrupt’.
Methodology
The poll followed a method of conductinging face-to-face conversations with 1 000 adult citizens (over the age of 18) from urban and rural areas across Albania, in a time span lasting from August 10th -28th 2021.
