The negative campaign of the Socialist Party against their Democratic opponent Lulzim Basha was one of the themes discussed tonight on “Shock” between Andi Bushati and Baton Haxhiu.
According to Haxhiu, “the negative campaign is hurting Basha” and explained that the metaphor being used on him as a lethargic person is tied to his “political powerlessness”.
But to Bushati, the ads of the Socialist Party are not innovative and have been seen even in past elections, which he described as “stagnation in creativity”.
“When you don’t have a balance, you start avoiding the campaign, and focusing on your opponents’ weak points”, he said.
Baton Haxhiu added that the negative campaign is mainly intended for “undecided voters”.
“The SP says that Basha will not achieve anything as a prime minister and makes a reference to the time when he was the mayor of Tirana. Undecided voters are usually people that live in extreme poverty or the elite who doesn’t like to be served a negative campaign on their plate because they understand well the other person’s job”, said Haxhiu.
