The vaccination of employees in the hotel industry will start this weekend.
The news was confirmed by Euronews Albania and the Institute of Public Health.
According to the Director of the Albanian Touristic Union, Rrahman Kasa the country has a total of 40 thousand employees, in the hotel industry alone.
Meanwhile, sources for Euronews Albania confirm that vaccination will be conducted in concentrated centers in every city, starting from Sunday.
In the entire country, the tourism sector makes up to around 93 thousand employees.
Until now, our country has secured over 2.5 million doses of anti-COVID vaccines.
Taking into consideration that each person needs two doses, based on the current number of vaccines procured by our country, 45% of the population can be vaccinated.
According to the Ministry of Health, to this day they have administered 281,254 doses of the vaccines against COVID-19, but they didn’t give any specific number regarding the total number of people that have received one dose and the number of those that are now fully vaccinated.
